Brand Match Promise Terms and Conditions
At Pets at Home, we set our prices competitively and want to ensure that our customer is getting the best deal for branded products. To ensure that this happens, we make our Brand Match Promise.
Refunding the difference
Whenever you shop at Pets at Home stores (but not Pets at Home online), we will compare the price of the branded products in your basket of shopping to the price of an identical basket of comparable branded items in store at The Range and on online at www.tesco.com
, including any promotions, multibuys or other offers. If the basket of comparable branded items would have been cheaper in store at The Range or online at www.tesco.com
, we will refund the difference to you in the form of a voucher to be spent at any Pets at Home stores or Groom Room salons. Our Brand Match Promise compares the price of branded products (any product which is not a Pets at Home own brand product) which are identical in all respects, including by brand, weight, size, variety and product code (comparable branded items). Pets at Home own brand products are excluded. Where the difference in the total price of your shop on those comparable branded products items is less than £0.50p, we will send you a voucher valued at £0.50p, and where it is more than £0.50p, we will provide you with a voucher for the exact amount of the difference to a maximum value of £10.
How to get your voucher
To obtain your voucher, you may log on to our website at www.petsathome.co.uk/brandmatchpromise
and enter your transaction number from your receipt. You may log in at any time from 11am on the day following your shop until 30 days after the date of your shop. We will calculate how much your comparable branded items cost in total and will itemise the price comparison for each item. Where the total price of your shop on those comparable branded items would have been cheaper in store at The Range or online at www.tesco.com
, we will give you a voucher for the difference. Where the total price of your shop on those comparable branded products items was cheaper at Pets at Home, we will tell you how much you saved. If you are a VIP customer, and you have agreed that we may contact you by email, then you will receive your vouchers automatically by email, provided that you swipe your VIP card as part of your transaction. Vouchers will be emailed to your nominated email address within 7 days of your shop. You may choose to opt out of these automatic emails at any time by updating your preferences at www.petsathome.com/vip
How do we check prices?
We obtain the information that we use to compare our prices from an independent external agency which independently checks the prices available in store at The Range on a fortnightly basis, online at www.jollyes.co.uk
on a weekly basis and www.tesco.com
on a daily basis. Only comparable branded items are compared. All product comparisons made by the independent external agency are believed to be correct. However, on rare occasions there may be errors, which we cannot honour. If for any reason we cannot update The Range, www.tesco.com
prices, we will continue to make comparisons against the most recent price data that we have. Where we can fairly match the price of any promotion or offer we will do so. However, where promotions are available whereby the individual prices of any of the products included in the offer are different, offers such as “Buy ‘A’, get ‘B’ half price”, and any other types of offers which make it difficult for us to make a fair comparison, are excluded. Multibuy prices and other offers will only apply if you buy the relevant number of the particular product which would allow you to qualify for that offer in store at The Range or online at www.tesco.com
. Pets at Home only includes promotions on branded goods in store at The Range or online at www.tesco.com
and does not include promotions on both branded and own branded goods, promotions, offers or discounts that apply to a whole basket (e.g. spend over £40 and get 2% off ) or discounts under customer coupons or vouchers or colleague discount cards.
Conditions of the Pets at Home Brand Match vouchers
Vouchers will only be given where the total amount you have spent on branded goods at a Pets at Home store would have been less (based on the most recent price data that we have) if you had bought comparable branded items in store at The Range or online at, www.tesco.com
. Vouchers will not be given where lower prices are available online at The Range or at any Jollyes or Tesco stores. Vouchers will be valid for a period of 30 days from the date of your shop. The expiry date will be shown on the voucher. There is no cash alternative to the voucher and no change will be given. Vouchers can only be used once in one transaction. Vouchers may be used at any Pets at Home store or in any Groom Room salon. Vouchers cannot be used in Vets4Pets or Companion Care surgeries or online at www.petsathome.co.uk
. Vouchers cannot be used to purchase gift vouchers. Vouchers cannot be transferred and Pets at Home will not accept any copied, damaged or defaced vouchers. If any items purchased from Pets at Home stores are returned Pets at Home reserves the right to take into account the benefit of any Pets at Home Brand match promise when offering a refund. Where we suspect that a false or fraudulent claim has been made or the spirit of the Pets at Home Brand match promise is being abused, we reserve the right to refuse to issue the voucher. Pets at Home reserves the right to vary the terms of the Pets at Home Brand Match or to withdraw the Brand Match Promise at any time. The Pets at Home Brand Match Promise is promoted by Pets at Home Limited, Epsom Avenue, Stanley Green Trading Estate, Cheshire, SK9 3RN. These terms and conditions are governed by English law.
